Beta

Beta This week on my project I have most of my visuals added and have my player movement fully working as well as my boundaries working well and are able to keep the player in the boundaries of the game as well and also while the boundaries took a while to complete there was satisfaction on completing them and getting them fully working. Ive also managed to complete my enemies script and have the player being chased by the enemies of the game as well which also I struggled with greatly and ran into a lot of problems such as the player not following the main player and tried videos on unity but non seemed to work and also referred back to the Unity Tutorial 4, I also looked at scripts online but just all together didn't work and just none seemed to work. I have the main bases of the game working such as the main camera following the player as well as the player being able to move. I also have the player being kept in the boundaries of the game which works well and I have my graphic

Unity Tutorial 10

Unity Tutorial 10 While working on Unity this week I looked up a Unity tutorial on boundaries. I chose to do it on boundaries this week that would help my game and so that I could keep my player and enemies in the boundary of the game. While working on it I did manage to get the boundaries working but the only real problem that had came up and that I had problems with was actually trying to expand the boundaries to greater width so the player could move around a lot more freely and would have more space to dodge the enemies and so on. While I did struggle with this for a while I managed to complete it and get fixed in to move on forward to the next section of my game that I could complete. While working on this I managed to complete the boundaries and get them done in time and also being able to move onto having the enemies case the player in the game and are things are moving forward and getting better. Games Testing

Games Testing While reading this weeks articles I found the first article interesting on how it talks of the different kind of game testing such as 'Performance Testing' which is the overall performance of the game and on how it plays overall. Another example would be 'Functionality Testing' which is when they confirm to see if the end product performs to its specifications. I also liked the at the major risks that can happen in game testing such as "If the Fun factor is missing in the games" while reading them I forgot at how much there were and how they each had a major effect. While reading the second article i didn't exactly enjoy it as much as the first article as the first is more small and doesn't overload you with information and while the second is very interesting to learn and learn about. While the second article I did learn about the software side a bit more on the first page and learned something that I probably wouldn't have learned

Unity Tutorial 09

Image
Unity Tutorial 09 While working on Unity I found out that you can work on tutorials that will help you with your game this has helped me greatly and while working on my game the struggles that really became problems I. my game was the script Player Controller. In this tutorial it showed me on what I was doing wrong and on why with my game it wasn't working proper especially in the sense of at how it would move up and down when I really just wanted it to move forward. These problems were then fixed after watching the video and work out well in the end thank god and I hope I never have to use Unity again after this module but will probably have to sadly. While I would say I struggled greatly at the start I got use to it and was grand for a while but then I had to start my game which was difficult to do also but managed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HpC--2iowE
