 Assignments I Look Forward To My first impression of Creative Digital Media year two is good as I'm looking forward to a lot of modules in the year such as Multimedia Development, Visual Design Fundamentals and Digital Video Techniques. Im intrigued by the Multimedia Development and Visual Design Fundamental s and see ing as to what I can create using Adobe Illustrator for Visual Design Fundamentals and using typography to create pieces of art and am looking forward to creating a 3D game for Multimedia Development.  I am looking forward to reading more about growth mindset in the upcoming weeks and learning more about it and how it works.  Growth Mindset  While reading about growth mindset I had never heard of it before and had never heard of Professor Carol Dweck either and what really interested me about the topic growth mindset was the effects that it had on children and what they could accomplish by it. The most intriguing story was the children's reactions of getting harder math work and that some said they liked the challenge and seemed to look forward to it and completing it. I also enjoyed the story about the school in Chicago and when they got their tests back they had 'not yet' written on them and this meant that they weren't fully there just yet but were close and it was written by their teacher to progress on further and was their to motivate them. When I was listening to the Ted talk video by Carol Dweck it really showed the difference between a person with a fixed mindset and a person with a growth mindset which I found really interesting and how it this can be changed early on in someones

 Introduction Post  My name is Samuel Carroll and I am twenty years old I am currently studying in TUD Blanchardstown and am in year two of Creative Digital Media. I enjoyed all my modules from year one but the one that I liked the most would have to be Design Process and Practice as I really enjoyed using Adobe Illustrator and enjoyed completing the different tasks that we were given each week and getting to learn more about Illustrator as the weeks went on. My favourite part of the module would have been the Film Poster assignment which we had to use the film we had chosen based off our website from Web Development in semester one. My website was based off Wes Anderson the film director so I chose his film 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'. While designing our film poster we did a discover, define, develop and deliver phase for the poster putting our ideas together and narrowing it down to our final piece. Favourite Game The Last Of Us  My favourite game would have to be the 'Last Of Us' as it not only is a great looking visual game but also tells a great story of a smuggler (Joel) escorting a young girl (Ellie) across a wasteland infected America trying to survive against infected creatures and other human enemies. We see them start off their journey having complications at the start but soon connect and get to know each more and more as the journey continues dodging hazards and enemies along the way. On their journey they meet numerous characters some good some bad and yet through it all manage to stick together and get through it. Last of Us concept art image
