 Assignments I Look Forward To


My first impression of Creative Digital Media year two is good as I'm looking forward to a lot of modules in the year such as Multimedia Development, Visual Design Fundamentals and Digital Video Techniques. Im intrigued by the Multimedia Development and Visual Design Fundamental s and see ing as to what I can create using Adobe Illustrator for Visual Design Fundamentals and using typography to create pieces of art and am looking forward to creating a 3D game for Multimedia Development.

 I am looking forward to reading more about growth mindset in the upcoming weeks and learning more about it and how it works. This blog is different to what we have done in other classes as in semester one we had a blog but only used it once a week while with this blog were putting up new posts daily and updating it as we go along about new topics that we've learned in class. It's also new as we are talking about what we've learned as well and we don't do that in other classes we simply learn something and move on while with this we are reminding ourselves of what we've done in our day.

 Introduction Post  My name is Samuel Carroll and I am twenty years old I am currently studying in TUD Blanchardstown and am in year two of Creative Digital Media.  Beta This week on my project I have most of my visuals added and have my player movement fully working as well as my boundaries working well and are able to keep the player in the boundaries of the game as well and also while the boundaries took a while to complete there was satisfaction on completing them and getting them fully working. Ive also managed to complete my enemies script and have the player being chased by the enemies of the game as well which also I struggled with greatly and ran into a lot of problems such as the player not following the main player and tried videos on unity but non seemed to work and also referred back to the Unity Tutorial 4, I also looked at scripts online but just all together didn't work and just none seemed to work. I have the main bases of the game working such as the main camera following the player as well as the player being able to move. Alpha

 Alpha While working on the alpha of my website I have ran into some problems such as my player falling through the floor but managed to fix this by un clicking the Is Kinematic button the ground's Rigidbody. This helped greatly and I managed to solve the problem then, I ran into some other C# script problems but managed to get around them and get them all working together and fine which worked out greatly for my game and is working well at the minute. My Own Unity Game While trying to see the targets I'm a bit behind work wise and struggling a bit to get to meet the deadlines with the work I'm getting around to it and will need to catch up a bit and work some more but I'm in a good place at the minute and is working well.
