Time Strategies

 Time Strategies

My thoughts on time management strategies for in class and outside are that with multimedia development labs I can pursue what has to be done for the weekend in this class and can progress over the weekend for next weeks tasks this then gives me more time over the weekdays to pursue the labs and assignments throughout the week and if I get stuck I've the weekend to try figure it out. after reading the articles '3 Steps to Recapture time by @JoynicoleM' are that there millions of people who work everyday and who manage to get into work on time and manage their time that suits their day and shows that their time management is really well done and she talks of three rules which can help recapture time and being able to achieve more in the time frame. The first rule is "Rule 1-Refuse to yield your 1st 15 minutes." In this rule she is saying that you should relax and do whatever makes you comfortable as she mentions some examples like 'Pray' or 'Meditate'. Then you must envision the tasks that need completion and finally break the tasks down to make it easier on yourself.

The second rule is "Rule 2- Recognise the Pruning Season" here she is talking anon the effects of the season that'll effect your work and to get execute your tasks like an example she says is to cut off anything that isn't working like a certain project rather then waste more resources to it.

The third rule is "Rule 3-Practice the Art of No". Here she is saying that sometimes it is good to say no and that at times you must say no as you may not have the time or resources and to respectfully say no.

The second article that I read was 'The Important Habit of Just Starting' by Jory Mackay. This was about how people have so much to do and that they can't spare anytime for their personal projects. While reading the blog a piece of information really stuck out to me as it said "When Bonnie Ware, a nurse who cared patients in their final weeks,  published the most common regrets she heard, not chasing dreams was number one". This really told me at how you live your life and can put something off for so long that it never gets done and by the time that its too late you regret not chasing and pursuing it.

I think after reading these articles and looking back at last semester that with my modules the most difficult part id say is getting used the new modules and learning the new Web Dev tools and so on. Some things that I learned from the articles are that I can say no respectfully and not to overwhelm myself with work and to take my time and not too waste time and I hope to use these going into this semester.
