Prototype
Prototype
From working on my game document and from looking at the comments from my blog on previous posts from I worked on some things and found a clear path to my full game having seen some aspects of my game that I could work and by looking over my game design document I found elements that could be changed and believe now that after this week that I can finally work on my game and finally make a start and get my ideas finally on screen and begin.
From working on my game some elements that I'm finding difficult and need working on is that of looking back over the Unity videos that I watched like Unity 1.1 for example which I took a lot of inspiration from. In these videos it talks about at how to get the basics and from rewatching these videos I was unsure exactly on how to start as with them i'm given the files to work with while with mine I'm starting from scratch and need to have my own graphics which I was unsure on where to get them from.
On starting my prototype for my own game and from watching Irene's video I learned the basics over and seen on how to start the unity from the beginning and how to input the code that needs to be inputted like using basic objects from the game object bar in Unity and using it as an object and creating basic planes and so on I now know o what to do and have a clearer idea and will begin on working on my game this coming week and hope to enjoy creating it.
What up Sam
ReplyDeleteI like reading about your prototype because we are doing it too but for me I am kind of struggling when thinking on how I want to lay out my scene I have amazing ideas but the problem is getting all the idea on the program but after reading through your blog I am starting to get an idea and I really enjoyed reading this
Hi ., Samuel, yes i agree with you that when doing tutorials it is much easier as you are already given all the graphics and you dont have to think about how your prototype should look like, but with Irene's video it is a starting point and you can do quite a lot . What if you can add different materials and different shapes to your own prototype , so it could be a starting point for developing your Game, so good luck to you with that and hope to see a final result at the end of semester.
ReplyDeleteYooo, Sam. I’m liking the look of your game so far and I've done the exact same in terms of the unity tutorials. There is one I’m looking at for my game and taking a lot of inspiration from, which is great because that will prove to be very helpful when I’m making my game and the same goes for anyone else. That’s what the unity tutorials were for, because they are helpful in lots of ways. The Irenes video was also a great help in getting a start on our game and gave us a base to build on, like a foundation. You have made a good start man and I look forward to seeing your game over the coming weeks and wish you the best of luck with it.
